Difficile Lectu was a song written by Mozart specifically to mock the Bavarian accent of singer Johann Nepomuk Peyeri. The pseudo-Latin lyrics contain two bilingual puns: “lectu mihi mars“ resembles Bavarian German “leck du mi im Arsch“ (lick me in the ass); “jonicu“, sung repeatedly, resembles Italian “cujoni“, slang for “testicles“.
