Cosmopolitan Troopship (1942)

Titles read: “COSMOPOLITAN TROOPSHIP“. Somewhere at sea. Various shots on a troopship at sea show men from Wales, Scotland, South Africa, Mauritius, Kenya and Rhodesia lining up for lifeboat drill, along with some WRENS and women of the Queen Alexandra Imperial Military Nursing Service. Several shots of women doing exercises on the deck, wearing slacks and shorts. The sailors and assorted soldiers watch and commentator longs to be a plank on that deck. Other men sit on the deck in a shaded area and listen to a lecture (?). Then we see various shots of everyone having fun on a sports day on the deck. Men take part in silly games such as the wheelbarrow race, and have fun in a huge leapfrog game where everyone falls over at the end. Nurses and servicemen watching seem to be enjoying it all.
