Wado Ryu Karate Fundamentals Part 3 - Nagasu, Inasu & Noru

In this 3rd and final video from the course on Wado Ryu Karate’s core principles Sensei Roger Vickerman 6th Dan Renshi looks at what is truly unique in Wado Ryu and sets it aside from other styles of Karate. Nagasu - To flow or move with. Inasu - To redirect or parry an opponent’s force using your body Noru - To ride or be carried without effort or energy Also pay attention to the explanation of using the body as a weapon; in Aikido and Jujitsu there is no difference in defence or attack if one is armed or unarmed. This is clearly shown here in Wado Ryu Karate too as the sword is replaced with an arm, but the technique remains the same.
