[2017 제9회 아창제] 이정호 _ 합창과 진도씻김굿, 국악관현악을 위한 ‘진혼’

1. 공연명 : 2017년 제9회 ARKO한국창작음악제 (국악부문) 2. 일 시 : 20:00 3. 장 소 : 예술의전당 콘서트홀 4. 연 주 : KBS국악관현악단 _ 지휘 이준호 / 협연 _ 이나래(소리), 홍준표(소리), 의정부시립합창단(합창) 5. 주 최 : 한국문화예술위원회 6. 주 관 : ARKO 한국창작음악제 추진위원회 7. 작 품 : 이정호 / ’합창과 진도씻김굿, 국악관현악을 위한 ‘진혼’ 8. 작품설명 : ‘합창과 진도씻김굿, 국악 관현악을 위한 [진혼]’은 무속음악 ‘진도씻김굿’을 모티브로 하여 쓴 국악레퀴엠이다. 라틴어로 된 가톨릭 미사의 합창 가사와 진도씻김굿 길 닦음 중 ‘애소리’와 ‘나무아미타불’을 차용하여 가톨릭, 불교 등 종교를 뛰어넘어선, 죽은 자의 영혼을 위로하는 진혼곡이다. 또한 이는 곧 살아서 남아 있는 사람들 마음의 치유도 포함된 것이며, 그 궁극적 의미는 ‘삶에 대한 위로’인 것이다. 곡은 크게 3구간으로 나눌 수 있는데 ‘어둠의 지배자에게 몸이 빼앗기는 장면’ [서곡, 비극의 시작], [혼란 속 두려움], [휘몰아치는 파도, 귀신의 춤], [슬픔, 분노, 고독], ‘넋을 위로하는 의식’ - [진혼, 넋을 고이 달래어 잠들게 하다], [떠나보내는 길, 잡고 싶은 마음] , [흩날리는 꽃] 그리고 ‘떠난 사람과 남은 사람 모두를 위한 기도’ 로 마무리된다. 삶과 죽음… 이 두 가지를 따로 떼어놓고 생각한다면 슬픔과 두려움이 생기지만, 같은 것이라고 생각한다면 비로소 온전한 삶을 살아갈 수 있을 것입니다. 맑고 투명한 사랑과 함께… 1. Program : Jeong Ho Lee / ‘The Requiem’ for Choir, Jindo Ssitgim-gut and Korean Traditional Orchestra 8. introduction of work : “The Requiem for Choir, Jindo Ssitgim-gut and Korean Traditional Orchestra” takes the traditional shamanic music of Jindo Ssitgim-gut as a motif. I aspired to create a requiem that transcends religions by layering Catholic choir music with Latin lyrics with “aesori” from Jindo Ssitgim-gut and the “Namo Amitabha” mantra from Buddhism. A requiem is as much for the living who have been left behind as for the ead, providing solace to everyone and everything that bears life and serving as consolation for life itself. Composed in three parts, the requiem begins with the scene in which our body is taken over by the ruler of the darkness, expressed by “The Beginning of a Tragedy”, “Fear amid Confusion”, “Sweeping Waves, A Dance of the Ghost” and “Sorrow, Anger and Desolation.” What follows is “The Consolation Ritual for the Dead”, consisting of “Mourning, Gently Bringing the Soul into Rest”, “Torn, Bidding a Farewell” and “A Rain of Flower Petals”. The Requiem finales with “A Prayer for the Departed and the Left Behind”. We come to fear death when we think about life and death as separate realities. However, if we take both life and death as realities that complete our lives, we can make our lives whole, guided by the “clarity of love.
