PLEASE NOTE: the audio here is heavily stereofonized, and my keyboard line is for the most part on the right channel, while the Doors’ song is on the left. Be sure to listen to this video with a pair of stereo speakers or headphones, otherwise it could seem that I’m just pretending to play.
. Ray Manzarek. You were my master. If now I have a big passion for music and playing keyboards, if this video right now exists, it’s thank to you.
Many, many thanks for your wonderful music.

Here’s my attempt to play the Doors’ signature song, Light My Fire. It was quite a pain to keep myself concentrate thru the whole 6-7 minutes of the song’s duration and in fact there are sometimes bump notes and slight errors, but for now I cannot do better, I’m sorry :-(
I used my custom made “fake“ Fender Rhodes Piano Bass (which is based on an old Roland U-110 expander) and a CEI Prestige combo organ which I restored some time ago.
The organ passes thru a Behringer Vintage Overdrive pedal and goes directly to the mixer, where it’s being equalized to approach the character of the Vox Continental in the original recording.
The original song it’s being panned to the left and my keyboard parts on the right, so you can hear them distinctely.
I hope you like it. As usual, constructive comments are welcome :-)
