Lego 7740 Inter-City Passenger Train unboxing and review

A review of the 7740. This very iconic passenger train was released in 1980 at the start of the 12v Grey Era (1980-1993) and was the flagship 12v trainset until its production ended in 1985 and it was replaced by the 7745. As for the story about the motor- I actually bought the motor separately, I got it cheap from a seller in the US ($40 including shipping). I factored that into the total cost of the set.
