Boro coat | hand-stitched patchwork from unwanted clothes

Boro-inspired coat, using Sashiko stitching; it’s a hand-made coat using a Japanese technic that looks stunning! It took me 10 weeks, but it is finally done! I had more than 20 shirts, 18 trousers and a few jackets in the wardrobe that had not been worn in years. So, I decided to upcycle them. That’s my small contribution to the planet. On the very first day I wore it to go to the supermarket, a person passed by me at the till and said: “I love your coat!“ My inspirations came from two amazing artists I got suggested on my YouTube feed. I fell in love with Boro style and I had to make one for myself. You can check my inspiration videos below: MUTSU BY PROSPECTIVE FLOW Zoe Hong
