The site boasts a rich history spanning from the First Temple Period to modern times. However, it’s the remarkable caves at Beit Guvrin that truly captivate visitors, making it the primary attraction for many. In this video: *The Sidonian Caves: These are the Sidonian burial caves. They are the only ones with paintings inside. The caves were burial caves for the Greek, Sidonian and Edomite inhabitants of Beit Guvrin. **The Church of St. Anne (Sandahanna): This very large church 52 x 56 m was built during the Byzantine period. In the Crusader period the church was restored on a smaller scale. The church was named after Anne, the mother of Mary, mother of Jesus. ***The Bell Caves: There are many bell-shaped caves (around 800) in this area. And Beit Guvrin National Park is in the middle of this area. Moreover, many caves are linked via an underground network of passageways connecting 40-50 caves.
