IP-Based technologies are now an essential part of today’s video production landscape. The flexibility of having Video, Audio, Control, and Data all carried across a single ethernet cable is simply too compelling. NewTek democratized IP-based production with the release of NDI, an open-license protocol that has become ubiquitous in the industry. While NDI can be ‘plug-n-play’ in basic setups, deploying it in more demanding production environments requires a bit more IT knowledge.
