Making M.C. Escher “Winged Lion“ end grain cutting board

Sometimes I make the end grain cutting boards based on Escher’s drawings. I used American black walnut for dark lion, movingui for light lion and Far-East walnut for the border. The dark and light lions are absolutely the same and can be tessellated. 2 mm end mill bit and 30 degree V-bit were used for milling. Иногда я делаю торцевые разделочные доски на основе рисунков Эшера. Темный лев сделан из американского черно ореха, светлый - из мовингу. Для рамки был использован более светлый дальневосточный орех.
