RAF’s Newest “Arm“ (1932)

Full title reads: “Southampton. RAF’s newest ’Arm’. Air Ministry’s new Seaplane tenders - capable of carrying 28 men at 25 knots - make first appearance.“ Southampton, Hampshire. Several small launches sail at speed across the waves. The boats sail towards the camera in line. A large ship is visible in the background. Filmed from the rear of one of the boats we are followed by another of them - this gives a good impression of their speed. Good C/U of one of the boats - it carries the Royal Air Force Logo and the number 212. More quite close shots of boat number 211 as it bounces over the waves. Boat 212 sails towards the camera position. (These boats are presumably to be used to assist with the working of seaplanes or flying boats.)
