At the age of four she imitated in the basement of her parents’ house Udo Jürgens and Abba. At age 23 she won the Swiss talent competition show on Radio DRS1. Within one night, she was known and celebrated by Blick as the “World Star“. This was followed by presentation to presentation. As the Swiss public chose Gunvor with her own composition, “Lass ihn“ 1998 to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest, for the then 23-year-old woman a dream came true. Although she describes the three minutes on stage before an audience of millions as the most beautiful performance of her life, the petite brunette scored no international order. Today, Gunvor sees this defeat with a laughing eye. Through this experience she learned a lot in life. For the sporty woman from Berne on her two greatest passion to not only the singing, tap dancing, a smile appears on her face. At 13, Gunvor started with the American style of dancing TAP DANCE. Two years later she won the Swiss championship - this in the category of adults. A total of seven times she was Swiss tap dance champion. With her former partner, they even won the world championship in fifth place. Even today, Gunvor quilted passionate, if not for racing by. After their performance at the Eurovision Song Contest, it was quiet around the media Gunvor. Nevertheless, many dates were still on their program. 1998 to 1999 she took on two big tours with the Swiss Nokia Musical Night held in various cities in Switzerland. Then several appearances with the Winter Circus on Conelli Bauschänzli in Zurich. For six months she played 2003/2004 in the musical “Hair“ the role of Crissy. Whether in the Musical Theater Basel, at the BEA Bern Expo or at the Maag Event Hall, this tour was one of Gunvor of the best experiences in her life - thanks to the fabulous crew. So far, five singles released Gunvor and a double CD. After her title for the Eurovision Song Contest “Lass ihn“ the singles “Money makes ...“, “Land of fantasy“ and “Born to be (loved by you)“ came on the market. The double CD “From A to Z“ from 2000 contains many Gunvor-songs, covers and musical songs. Their most recent single called “Don’t judge“ was published in 2009. Looking into the future bodes well. In the years ahead, Gunvor will focus to sing and bring a new album on the market and get back fully on her greatest passion: singing, dancing and going on stage.
