Traditional Kokyu is a stringed instrument that produces sound by rubbing three strings which are woven from silk with a horsehair bow. At the ‘Owara Kaze no Bon’, a traditional festival held every September in Toyama, people parade in the town playing this instrument for three days and three nights.
