Whoever controls the image of God in our minds controls our image of ourselves and, to a large extent, our destiny. Once we’re programmed with what is and what isn’t allowed for us to do in this life, it sets us on a trajectory that we have very little conscious control over. Manipulating us with fear and shame works wonders in brainwashing us into submission.  If we take time to examine the jealous, angry, wrathful God of destruction that sends his children to a never-ending torment in hell, we may find that he has several deep personality disorders.  The Old Testament God rules from a place of insecure ego-driven weakness. Technically, it’s called being a narcissistic sociopath. Dealing with a narcissistic sociopath often times leads to us being brainwashed clean of any healthy independent thinking; it strips us of our self-worth and keeps us in a psychological prison fear.
