MANTRHOPOLOGY
with JOHN WARD
SEXUAL DIMORPHISM
Sexual dimorphism - from the Greek Di - Two and Morph - form, is the systematic difference in form between individuals of different sex in the same species.
In humans, The sexes differ more than in monogamous mammals, but much less than in extremely polygamous mammals. The higher the degree of polygamous behavior - the more the difference in the sexes becomes pronounced. Males being larger is not evolutionary gospel - consider the spotted Hyena - which are matriarchal, with the alpha females able to develop a clitoris up to eight inches long.
