Mikhail Volchok playing a selection of pieces from Bach’s 1725 Anna Magdalena Notebook; Twelve Little Preludes; and Six Little Preludes. Volchok studied with Yakov Zak and Pavel Serebryakov, and won first prize at the 1976 Bach competition in Leipzig. This is from a 1986 recording ripped from a LP. It has lots of distortion, but because very little exists from this excellent pianist, and there are few professional performances of these Bach pieces on piano, I’ve decided to upload it nonetheless.
