After a prolific year in splits from the Tasmanian tyrants, Carved Cross is back with a new full-length recording.
The project’s 7th album to date, and a band which should need no introduction by now.
3 tracks of what they do best, mid-paced primitive and entrancing Black Metal, filled with minimalist melodicism and melancholy accompanied by the ever dragging drums and screams of misanthropy and negativism that, similarly to their last full-length in “Lamentations“ returns to a rawer, more crude and grainy register and production than the previous full-lengths.
Just like “Lamentations“ as well, and what has been now a staple in their recent albums, the album closes with an Ambient track, with blown-out but beautifully haunted, nocturnal synths, echoing through the bucolic woods, while accompanied by the pummel of the drums.
Released on LP and CD via ASRAR.
