Welcome to my review of the 1/18 Scale Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 Special Tuned Version made by AUTOart. If you were lucky enough to snag this model while it was in production, good on ya. It’s fantastic! As with pretty much everything AUTOart makes, the detailing is superb and the likeness is spot-on. The positives are all there. The carbon fiber printing on the hood, the sweet driver’s seat, the pop-headlights, I even love how the the parcel shelf is connected by cables and is fully adjustable. If I had to pick some ’d probably be the fragile license plate on the front, which was broken off before I even removed the model from the box for the first time, and the fact that this model is no longer in production with the “Panda“ paint scheme.
