Russia’s Wagner Group To Fight In Ukraine Again? Wagner’s Camp Dismantled As Troops Leave Belarus

The Wagner Group private military company (PMC) has suggested its fighters are returning to Ukraine “to protect the interests of Russia“. This comes a month after the death of their founder Yevgeny Prigozhin who had challenged Putin’s authority in the war. On August 23, Prigozhin and his top commanders died in a mysterious plane crash, months after his revolt against Russia’s military. Amid doubt over what Wagner troops will do now, the Wagner PMC posted images of troops at an undisclosed location. Former Kremlin advisor Sergei Markov has made similar claims about Wagner’s return “and boasts that Ukrainians are in fear”.
