ENVY EarthQuaker Sessions - “Seimei“ & “Zanshin“

Presenting a new EarthQuaker Session with Tokyo post-hardcore legends envy. In this session, the band performs 2 songs “Seimei” and “Zanshin” from an EP released in November 2022. Envy was formed in 1992 and has been a big influence in the independent hardcore scene in Japan and internationally. They have a lengthy catalog that spans from hardcore, screamo, and post-rock. The 6 piece band have an approach to their songwriting where the 3 guitar players Tsuyoshi “Yoshi” Yoshitake, Nobutaka Kawai, and Yoshimitsu Taki each play in different octaves and harmonize together to bring a strong cohesive sound.
