2021-04-28 Xiao Qi Ji ~ Bamboo Dances & Treat Windows

#PandaStory Day 250: Xiao Qi Ji discovered a bamboo stalk “planted“ on the rockwork in room 3 Tuesday afternoon. There are special holders imbedded into the rockwork that allows the keepers to place the stalk upright. Qi Ji “danced“ with the stalk and nibbled on the leaves for quite awhile, showing off those adorable legs of his, until he was finally able to wrestle it down. The next scene from early this morning shows Mei Xiang pulling Qi Ji off the rockwork in room 2, and commencing to bleat at him. For some reason this struck me as funny, probably because of their behavior in the 2021-04-25 video. It was like she was reminding him that she had told him not to do that. Later on there was a little bit of play behavior, with Qi Ji nipping at Mei’s rump. And since they’d been awake for awhile he was settling down for his nap at the base of his door around the time he was supposed to go outdoors.
