Leo Slezak (1873-1946) sings Raoul’s aria “Plus blanche“ from Meyerbeer’s opera Les Huguenots. The tenor, in one of his few recordings in a language other than German, sings the aria in its Italian translation as “Bianca al par“. This recording, one of Slezak’s rarest, was taken from an Edison cylinder made around 1913.
