Riley Tufte is a Blaine junior hockey player who leads his team in goals. While Tufte has the talent, he has something to keep in mind when it comes to his hockey game.
Tufte was diagnosed with diabetes when he was 11-years-old before an important Brainerd hockey tournament.
Hockey actually helps Tufte’s diagnosis. “Him skating every day helps his blood sugars, helps his A1C’s, will help him live a longer life,“ Tufte’s mother, Amy Tufte said.
