May 1995 Lezin won the World Championship in Berlin, Germany, defeating Vitali Klitschko in the final. The series swung in Lezin’s favor two wins to one loss with the giant, although Vitali bested his rival in their last meeting at the Military World Championship in Ariccia, Italy later that year.
