Living with Art - Boris Vervoordt

Explore Vervoordt’s philosophy behind collecting art and how they’ve created a home together in this video from #TEFAF’s Living with Art series. Boris Vervoordt lives in the Vlaeykensgang, a medieval alleyway in Antwerp’s city center that was formerly a coffee warehouse. The home’s history can be traced back to the 16th century. Axel Vervoordt discovered this area when he was 21 years old and spent years restoring the houses together with his wife May. One of them became the first location of the family’s growing business. It was the start of our company and a symbol of the family’s five-decade path of living with art. Boris still calls the Vlaeykensgang home today together with his husband, writer Michael Gardner.
