It’s a milestone for me, mostly because this time I had to fight my worst enemy - myself. For the last few years I feared that I won’t ever release another instrumental album. It didn’t matter that I had over 400 melodies and riffs recorded on my phone. After making some of them into songs they always ended up shelved. It didn’t matter that most of them connected to a very strong memory or emotion. I listened to some of them during long drives, sometimes even shedding a tear or two. Still, I didn’t want to play them anywhere besides my car stereo. But as we all know, life can change peoples minds. Some events made me realize how fragile life is and that if I won’t do anything, nobody will ever hear them. The process wasn’t easy and it took a long time. It made me remember that recording albums was always my favorite way of expressing myself. Also I just want to note that I did this album mostly for myself. I don’t consider it a collection of my biggest hits, spotify top 100 or anything, just a humble little roach in a sea of sharks. It was a fight that I won, and this is the most important thing. This is “what remains“.
