RVV - 1. Camlann - I’m Nobody

Camlann is a Dark Disco band formed by three young teenagers from Jakarta, Indonesia. Formed in the early 2019, the band consists of Ony Godfrey (17) in vocals and guitar, Bayu Triyudanto (17) on bass, and Fauzan Pratama (16) on synths. They also have Chariszan (17) as their producer and music collaborator. Known for their haunting, melancholic, and dominating synths that are crafted beautifully, reverb-laden guitar, dark and monotonous bass, danceable and 80’s sounding drum machines, and heavy androgynous vocals that are not only gloomy and melancholic, but also solid and powerfull, Camlann has made themselves as one of the most exciting alternative bands to come from their motherland. Not only taking influences from 80’s dark electronic acts such as Depeche Mode, Soft Cell, and Xmal Deutschland, they are also taking influences from Classic Disco and 80’s Synthpop acts from various different countries such as Alphaville, Руся, Donna Summer, Junko Ohashi on their songs.
