The Lowest Harmonica in the World?! Custom Hohner Contrabass Harmonica by Boaz Kim.

Headphones/subwoofer highly recommended for those bass reeds! Short cuts: 0:00 Improvised one chord jam 0:06 Intro 0:42 Chromatic scale 1:15 Lowest notes 1:33 “I Wish,“ bass line by Stevie Wonder I was contacted by Nick, of Costa Mesa Studios in California, to alter their brand new Hohner bass harmonica, the Bass 78, to have an even lower range. They wanted a C1, that’s the second C below the bass clef. I took on the challenge and did some reed adjustments as well. It took well over 13 hours to complete. As you can hear, it’s still pretty agile in this register. Overall, I am happy how it turned out as I have also been wanting a bass that would go down to this exact C! Fine tuning of the lowest octave takes forever. If you’re interested in having your bass harmonica, or any harmonica, customized, custom tuned, repaired, or just adjusted send me an email! boazjkim@gmail(dot)com. I have heard that there might be another modified bass harmonica that goes to down to C1, from a friend of mine. Otherwise, I have never heard/seen a sample of it. Pretty much all other bass harmonicas go down only to E1 at the lowest which is plenty low already and it can be hard to get a good response and volume there, already. The other lowest note less expensive basses have is usually is C2. That’s why I believe this truly could be the lowest harmonica in the world! It’s amazing to have an instrument that is just about 11“ long be able to play pitches this low. As you can hear, the lowest C is just incredible sounding! I want one of my own! #hohner #hohnerharmonica #bassharmonica #playtheoriginal #hohnermusic #boazcustomharps @hohnermusic #contrabass #Low #basement #reeds #bass #pedaltones #rare #custom #boazkim #lowoctave #contra #basso #mundharmonika #bass78 #Hohnerbass
