Steve Smith: New Orleans Improv on the PAS Billy Gladstone Kit

On June 4, 2024 I visited PAS Headquarters in Indianapolis, IN, and improvised a number of solos on this rare Billy Gladstone drumset donated to PAS by David and Colette Wood. This kit was also owned by drummer/author Chet Falzerano, who wrote an excellent book about Billy Gladstone: Kit configuration: 6”x14” snare drum, 9”x13” & 16”x16” toms and a 14”x22” bass drum, setup with all calfskin heads. Unfortunately, I broke the head on the 16” floor tom at the end of this solo! - Steve Smith
