This recording is from my senior recital, May 3rd, 2013 featuring the AMAZING Dr. Suyeon Kim and me. Eugene Bozza’s (1905-’91) Récit, sicilienne et rondo for Bassoon and Piano was his first work for solo bassoon and piano. It was strongly influenced by late romantic music, which is evidenced by it’s wildly dramatic flourishes, wide dynamic range and enormous registeral span that utilizes the entirety of the bassoon.
