Marcel Broodthaers started his career in the arts as a poet, After decades of poverty and destitution he decided to try his hand at the visual arts. His conceptual approach to the institutions of culture, particularly the art museum, captured the attention of avant-garde critics and collectors. This exhibition includes rarely seen works and some of the few paintings ever executed by the artist.
