A Ceres-1 launch vehicle (Y6) launched two satellites, Qiankun-1 (乾坤一号) and Xingshidai-16 (星时代-16/ 泰安, Tai’an), from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, Gansu Province, China, on 22 July 2023, at 05:07 UTC (13:07 local time). Ceres-1 (谷神星一号) is a small solid propellant launch vehicle developed by Galactic Energy (星河动力) to carry a payload of up to 350 kg to low Earth orbit (LEO). According to official sources, the satellites were successfully placed into the planned orbits and will be used for commercial remote sensing services.
