Sergei Gogin is a poet and translator from Ulyanovsk UNESCO City of Literature, he’s reading his translation of Dmitry Sadovnikov’s poem “To the Volga“, written in 1883, for Nanjing’s Wold Book Day 2020 Celebration. Dmitry Sadovnikov is a Russian poet, folklorist and ethnographer, who was born in Simbirsk in 1847 (Simbirsk is the former name of Ulyanovsk).
