20,560 actual miles on this all original survivor. Rare Gold Duster package which included a snake skin roof! It includes original window sticker, warranty paper, manual and more. Mileage is marked as original, the car speaks for itself anyway. Our shop just spent $1,674 servicing this car- a/c, brakes, fuel system etc. It’s ready to be enjoyed.
EXTERIOR: All original! The body has no rust. Only damage is a garage dent on the rear quarter. Doors shut like a new car. Original paint shows very well; it has minor imperfections. One of the better original paint jobs I’ve seen that’s almost 50 years old. The Gold Duster decals and stripes are still excellent. The original snake skin roof is pristine looking. That’s important because it’s an important feature and probably not replaceable. Shiny original chrome. Original glass is crystal clear. Original deluxe hubcaps caps and white stripe tires were also part of the package. Jambs are clean original including the weatherstrips.
INTERIOR: It is practically new looking inside and it is original! The seats, visors and lower door panels have been covered in plastic since new. The lower cushion was recently uncovered because the plastic was cracking. The upholstery is pristine. The door panels look new except small damage at the bottom from being closed on seatbelt. The entire dash area, instrument panel, steering column, heater controls, glovebox are mint. No wear on steering wheel, armrests, pedals. The carpet is very good. Headliner is mint
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Many of these were just 6 cylinders. Under the hood of this car has a 318 V-8, cold a/c, power steering and brakes! It is completely factory correct. All the components are in place, not messed with. Heat riser tube is in place, battery is secured, overflow bottle is in place, squirters are hooked up, hood insulation is still very good. We rebuilt carburetor, replaced the coil and topped of the R12 freon. Clean engine bay with original paint and the fender tag is still attached. It’s never even had spray paint, it’s original and very nice.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: All original, I don’t think the jack has ever been removed. No rust, original paint. The original mat has some splits. Weatherstrip is excellent.
UNDERSIDE: Completely rock solid original metal, the frame rails and even the lower inner quarters have not been touched. It has optional factory under coat, it’s never been spray painted over. There are still some signs of assembly line paint markings. It has disc brakes in front, e-brake assembly is hooked up. It went through our shop for inspection. We replaced the front calipers and hoses, bled and tested the system. Replaced fuel sending unit. The vin is stamped on the engine by the oil pan. The matching vin is also on the TorqueFlite automatic.
Conclusion:
They are only original once. This is an excellent example of a survivor. Before you leave our parking lot you will be convinced this is a sweetheart. It runs, functions and feels like a new car.
It has a lot of great features but the snake skin roof and the plastic covered interior really takes us back in time!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car’s condition in detail. **These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.
