Iraq says 16 people, including civilians, were killed in ‘new US aggression’. In response, Iran-aligned groups say they have attacked US bases in Syria as well as western and northern Iraq. Myles B. He said, ‘Firstly, the strikes are to convey a resolute message to both the American public and Iranian militias that the US takes seriously any attacks on its troops.
