This story of Mila Halizova, Russian origins artist, who creates big size art pieces from collected nature materials. She recovered an old 3-floors house near the sea in Montenegro on her own. More than year she has been working from her own studio far from her friends and relatives, guided by own feelings and emotions. By observing the life cycles of her materials, the artist was able to implement a philosophy based on an analysis of ephemerality, ranging from preservation to decay. Her large tactile works combine collected natural objects such as acorns, seeds, inflorescences, cones, and algae. All materials are found during the artist’s frequent nature walks around the Bay of Kotor area and mountains. More recent investigations in her studio practice include earth, gypsum, resin, and tools with an intuitive sense of form. This video is a short story about one day of her life.
