60,000lb X-RAY Truck Almost Flips Over! What an absolute close call this recovery was. Had this unit really gone over, it would have been one of our hardest just due to the weight and structure of this intricate truck. The outer body is mainly fiberglass, with no lifting points unlike a container. The driver caught a break here and the semi prevent it from fully going over. This job was done by Dave in the 40ton rotator and Alex in Big Flipper, our 75ton rotator. Of course, they were joined by Mr. YEAH I KNOW himself aka Spider aka Hector. The job came with a ton of risk, but Alex and Dave kept it very cool and worked this job to perfection. Dave’s rotator kept the truck stabilized while also winching the trailer over, and Alex used the might of Big Flipper to lift the entire rear in the air and swing it all the way over to the guardrail. This method solves two problems: 1) keeping the truck from going over during the winch and 2) getting the truck to a more stable position so he can continue forward while making the turn. I know the calm and cool behavior make this look easy, but trust me when I say this was a very difficult job done incredibly fast.
