Catching Taiga Beangeese in Odra Valley

De Taiga Beangeese population is terrible decreasing. Research is very important. Germans and Dutch colleagues start together with China, Denmark, Russia and Belgium colleagues an important scientific research to migration routes from Taiga Beangeese from the wintering areas to the breeding areas. Catching Taiga Beangeese is incredible difficult. To catch the birds we have used the typical Dutch ’old style’ catching method with decoys and clapnets. We caught totally 35 Bean Geese and taged 18 Taiga Beangees
