OUR NICU JOURNEY // 25 WEEKER MICRO-PREEMIE

Because sometimes it’s hard to put into words what our little family has gone through, we figured this video would help tell Ryker’s story. Our little man is going to be One tomorrow and he has gone through more than most of us ever will have to in our life. This time last year we were living our worst nightmare. We had no idea if our baby was going to live or not, being born at 25 weeks gestation, but he has been a fighter since day one. He is a miracle that Heavenly Father has blessed us with, and every day I tell him he is so brave and strong and thank him for sticking with us. Watching this video, I hope people can realize how much NICU families have to go through, spending 12 hours a day in a tiny hospital room, having to put trust in other people to care for their baby, having to put normal life aside and grieving about missing the exciting things that normal parents get to experience. I also hope people realize how hard these medical professionals work to provide the best outcome for these babies. We love and are so grateful for all of our nurses and doctors, without them (and everyones prayers) Ryker wouldn’t be here today. We hope everyone has a great Easter Sunday tomorrow! We love each and every one of you and are always humbled that you guys have been here supporting us since the beginning.
