No title.
Scenes from the cabaret show “Charlot’s Masquerade“ at the Cambridge Theatre in London. Dance routine - girls wear top hats, black trousers and skimpy white waistcoats with nothing underneath - quite sexy! They dance holding walking sticks, a tap routine. One of the girls sings a song. Various shots of the dance. “And, will ladies’ fashions ever come to these chic personality styles?“ M/S of a girl on roller skates who is lying on her stomach on a chair as if to do swimming exercises. Behind her stand chorus girls dressed in white fur trimmed outfits.
Constance Carpenter and Patrick Waddington do a dainty dance on top of a table whilst the chorus float around in chiffon frocks. Anton Dolin and Dora Vadimova perform a dance called “Skating Shoes.“ Dora wears a frock with fur trimmed cuffs - I guess they are supposed to be ice skating?
Beatrice Lillie is mentioned in an intertitle but shots of her are missing - alas.
