Wang Yiwei, Professor at Renmin University: The Taliban Is the “Liberation Army“ of Afghanistan

Chinese professor Wang Yiwei from Renmin University said that the Taliban, though “demonized” by the U.S. and some of China’s own press in the past, is like Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) during the Chinese Civil War, and that it is defeating the collapsing Afghanistan government supported by the U.S., just like the Chinese Communists defeated the Nationalist government.
