MIRIAM KRESSYN sings her Yiddish version of BUBLITCHKI-BAGELACH בײגעלעך

Originally a Russian song with lyrics by Yakov Yadov (Davydov) and with music by undetermined author, possibly either G. Bogomazov or Yakov Feintukh. Aside from best known version that was recorded by Barry Sisters, this is an excellent version, which followed previous ones by S. Korntayer (sung by Herman Fenigstein) and Pesach Burstein (his own performance). Bialystok born Miriam Kressyn (1910-1996), a leading lady of the Yiddish theater, translator, song writer, teacher, includes a piece of original Russian lyrics at the end, which she sings with her charming Polish accent. Below you will find lyrics in Yiddish, transliterated theater Yiddish and then by my translation. בײגעלעך קויפֿט מײַנע בײגעלעך, פֿרישינקע בײגעלעך, נו, קויʃ
