Welcome to a new video on this channel. Today you can see an old familiar device. The HP Envy x360 Convertible. It was already here on the channel exactly one year ago. Back then with 8GB dual-channel RAM. For today’s video, the device has been upgraded to 16GB dual-channel RAM. That means the current configuration is one of the best you can give the 5500U. More RAM doesn’t make much sense at the moment. I wouldn’t recommend less than 16GB for the 5500U in 2023 either. But more about that later. Let’s first note what is available to us today. As already mentioned, the AMD Ryzen 5 5500U and its integrated Radeon Graphics, plus 16GB DDR4 3200MHz memory. We are also using the latest AMD graphics driver namely Adrenalin as of March 15, 2023. Everything on stock settings, I have not done any tuning with AMD APU Tuning Utility or any other tool like Ryzen Controller or Ryzen Adjust. The principle of this channel is that you should always see in such big benchmark compilations what performance you get out of the box, without any manual configurations or tweaks. Nevertheless, this is a short self-promotion. I created a video about the AMD APU Tuning Utility 2 days ago. Have a look at it. The tool is free, very easy to use, and results in a considerable performance boost. I’ll link the video now in the upper right corner. Nevertheless: In today’s video, the Ryzen 5 5500U often clocked down in games. As already mentioned, it ran at stock TDP settings. But was that bad? No, because the 3D performance could almost always be maintained. In addition, the temperatures remained in a very good window. So now the important question? How did the AMD Ryzen 5 5500U perform in the 23 tested games and did it feel comfortable with the 16GB RAM? Yes, it felt very very comfortable. I think that can be stated like that. In
