Lagoglyph Sound System is a new form of painting created by Eduardo Kac in which the black shapes seen on canvas conduct electricity. The viewer is invited to gently touch the black images, thus eliciting the sound of polyphonic vocal improvisations. The viewer experiences absolutely no electrical sensation whatsoever, since the painting only responds to capacitance, the normal ability of a body to store an electrical charge. The logic system and the pre-recorded sounds are stored in a custom-built circuit
