Take besan/gramflour in a large bowl. 2. Add turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder, salt, hing/asafoetida, ajwain/carom seeds and kasuri methi. 3. Next add, finely chopped onions, ginger, green chillies, grated carrot, finely chopped capsicum, tomatoes, coriander leaves and mix well/ 4. Pour 1/2 cup of water and mix well. 5. Pour another 1/2 cup and mix again. 6. Check for seasoning and add anything if required. 7. Heat a pan and pour a ladle of batter on it. 8. Spread it gently and add some oil to the edges. 9. Cook the chilla on medium low flame. 10. Once it done on one side, flip it to the other side and cook evenly. 11. After the chilla is golden brown in color on both sides, remove it from the pan. 12. Healthy and yummy Besan ka chilla is ready to be served hot with mint chutney and tomato chutney by the side. Besan Ka Cheela translates to a savory pancake made with gram flour.
