A huge amount of spoken and written English is made up of idioms, slang, and expressions. Not knowing these will make English impossible to understand. Most native speakers of English do not even realize they are using idioms when they speak. They do not know how to simplify their English in order to be understood. So it is the situation that a learner that has been studying for years, with a high score on the TOEIC, or TOEFL can get totally lost listening to two native speakers converse. This channel was designed to address that problem. The brand of English that I speak is a very neutral American accent. Many people around the world have told me that my English is easy to understand. I think if you can adjust to hearing my English, you can understand most Hollywood movies.
