05-01-2023 Snowshoe, WV - Rare May Snowstorm Begins

The storm began on Monday evening with wet snowfall and gusty winds atop the Snowshoe Village in the Allegheny mountains. Snow quickly accumulated several inches in the first few hours, covering the roads with snow and ice immediately. 8-12 inches are forecast here over the next 24 hours.
