Fractal arising from gravitational potential

Inspired by the chaotic magnetic pendulum experiment [1] I did this animation displaying the chaotic behaviour of a particle inside a gravitational potential generated by four fixed masses. It illustrates yet again the complex and unpredictable behavior often found in fairly simple systems. [1] #physics #chaos #gravity #fractal #blender #python
