Chaotic scenes in Bangkok - Riot police shooting rubber bullets against dozens of protest bikers

Unbelievable scenes took place in Bangkok, Thailand on 22 August 2021, when during a protest by dozens of people on motorbikes, the riot police attacked them, trying to knock them off by shooting rubber bullets against them, throwing teargas , as well as kicking the moving motorbikes and attacking protesters that fell on the ground with batons. Thailand has been rocked by protests and riots, almost daily, during the last few weeks by thousands of protesters that demand the prime minister’s Prayuth resignation over his bungling of the government’s coronavirus vaccination program while Thailand has seen infection rates surge while vaccination rates remain low. But the protests are also part of a wider demand for sweeping political change that includes the resignation of the government, a new constitution and above all the fundamental reform of the monarchy in the country.
