KATICA ILLÉNYI (theremin) - Donizetti: Una Furtiva Lagrima - from the opera L’elisir d’amore

Katica Illényi played the D-Lev theremin, invented by Eric Wallin. This particular model, the handmade P3 was specially made by Roger Hess. The theremin is an electronic musical instrument that is played without physical contact by the performer. The D-Lev digital theremin is a digital implementation of this concept, which offers several advantages over traditional analog theremins. One of its unique features is the “human voice” preset, which is designed to mimic the sound and expressiveness of the human voice that allows players to create a wide range of vocal sounds that can add depth and nuance to their musical performances.
